this is what happened when I talked to ~BlueMario while answering my messages the other day ^^; I was explaining to him the Mario like-ness of my family, and how me and my sister had nick names.

my nickname from middle school to high school was Maggie-O (so I was Mario) and my little sister, who just happened to be taller than me, was called Lu-Annie. (Luigi)

we got those names because of our strong Italian past and because our father is a spitting image of Mario...and he's plummer/HVAC tech....

I tried to design some costumes that reflected each of us though....I was always told I was the cute, sweet, non violent, Zombie hating and naive one, that everyone loved to be around and played Video games non stop.

my sister (no mater how hard she tries to deny it) was the pretty one of us. heck, guys would pretend they were friends with me just to take a shot at getting a date with her. she's also the foul mouthed, rock music loving muscle of us too....

the picture isn't done to great, and the quality shows how much time I spent on it. only maybe 2 hours at the most....but I like it...my sister is likely to ill me though :XD:

Mario brothers and all related things are (c) to Nintendo

Awesome, I remember that conversation! :XD:

Back when Josh and I (well okay, mostly me) were crazy about the Mario Bros., we'd play as Mario and he'd be Luigi and take turns doing so. (Since I was the smaller one, I was sometimes Mario :D) Ironically now, Josh is smaller than me, even though he's my older bro. Coincidence? I think NOT!!! :XD:

Anywho, that's adorable! :aww:   Instant fav! :+fav:

Hehehe, pretty cute, and funny as well. Maggie-o and Lu-annie, quite proper.

Cute, I like it. Nice detail...even including an eye-hill, the Angry Sun from SMB3, and a flip-block from SMW. Oddball fact....there was a computer game in the 80's called "Great Gianna Sisters"...hard to find, because shortly after it came out, Nintendo sent the company a cease-and-desist. Well, the game involved headbutting bricks, going into castles, and the sisters were named Gianna and Maria. And you could smash bricks apart when you became big.

My Japanese name: 小泉 Koizumi (small spring of water) 明日香 Asuka (fragrance of the bright day)
Farore's Cleavage... WHY IS IT STORMING OUT!?
:iconlady-of-link:
:XD: yeah...

my sister was never really the video game loving type, so she didn't really like the nick name to much.

but I was always the shorter of us >> so it fit well. even if the colors are a little inverted

thank you ^^ though, glad you like it!

No problem  You know, I had something similar with a friend in elementary school. His name was Mauro, and since my first name is Luis, many compared us to Mario and Luigi, as we both loved the game.
